Technical Lead

Responsibilities
We are searching for an innovative Technical Lead with Web3 experience to join SNI's team. As the Technical Lead, you would oversee the company's technical team and all projects they undertake, analyse user stories, identify risks, and develop work schedules in an agile environment. Candidates should be able to lead a development team and inspire them to reach their goals. We're seeking applicants who demonstrate that they are constantly expanding their industry knowledge and can identify problems quickly.

Technical Lead responsibilities:

  • Motivating staff and creating a space where they can ask questions and voice their concerns.
  • Being transparent with the team about challenges, failures, and successes.
  • Work alongside product management to implement the company's products and projects.
  • Help build and manage the product backlog in support of the product roadmap.
  • Delegating tasks and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
  • Provide architectural and design technical direction for centralized and decentralized solutions.
  • Establish coding culture, code reviews, and pair-programming.
  • Ship good quality code fast, ensuring use case testing, code versioning good practices, and rollback-ability.
  • Identifying risks and forming contingency plans as soon as possible.
  • Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in production software development and deployment.
  • Strong background in cloud computing, distributed systems, and Microservices.
  • Experience in Web3 development.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to write and speak in English fluently and idiomatically.
  • Relevant management certification(s) may be required.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with building on both Ethereum and Polkadot networks.
  • Experience with programming in Rust.
  • Experience with smart-contract security assessment, looking for common vulnerabilities, and using tools to help mitigate them.
  • Experience building analysis frameworks for quality monitoring or performance benchmarking.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Experience working in a global multi-cultural environment.
  • Experience maintaining an agile culture.

Technical Project Manager

Responsibilities
We are searching for an innovative Technical Project Manager to join our organization. As a Technical Project Manager, you would oversee Sovereign Nature Initiative's projects from inception to completion and be responsible for controlling the project life cycle – planning, organizing, executing, and monitoring it, while ensuring these projects are on time, on budget, and within scope. You will be helping to set clear timelines, establish goals, manage expectations, and troubleshoot as needed, ensuring valuable and timely deliverables. In a daily routine, you will be dealing with internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, and you have to traverse and maintain an excellent conversation level and attitude.

Technical Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Develop project specifications and project plan baselines, including scope, key activities, deliverables, resource requirements, milestones, risks, indicators, and deadlines.
  • Drive project execution, track delivery, expect, monitor, and control change, own change management, proactively seek and resolve blockers.
  • Ensure every stakeholder is informed, has clear goals, and works collaboratively and in partnership with clients and other stakeholders to achieve planned outcomes.
  • Contribute to the provision of documentation for new or improved processes, products, and services and ensure that good practices are going throughout the organization.
  • Support business development by providing customer and project information.
  • Guide teams to create deliverables that connect to the company goals
  • Create, own, prioritize, and refine different project backlogs.
  • Manage and control communication plans.
  • Promote collaboration and engagement.
Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business and Management, Business Analysis, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management (software focus).
  • A demonstrable track record of successful management and delivery of projects.
  • Experience with distributed multicultural teams.
  • Excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiar with Software Engineering process.
  • Experience working with agile methodologies. Kanban is a plus.
  • Experience with project management software.
  • Ability to write in English fluently and idiomatically.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with innovation and research-focused startups.
  • Experience managing or developing projects in the Web3/Blockchain space.
  • Kanban/Agile/PMI certification.
